| Fr. Pajarillo was born in Pangil, Laguna and
attended primary school in Sulib (a barangay or village of Pangil) and grew up
in Marikina City. He left the Philippines for graduate studies in theology in
1998 in Rome, Italy, and again in 2001 for post-graduate studies in theology in
Maryland, USA. He is currently serving the Church in Illinois.
• Graduation: Philosophy, 2 Apr 1994, Marikina, Metro Manila, Philippines. Saint
Camillus Seminary, from which Fr. Cesar graduted, is run by the Camillian
Fathers and offers a liberal arts program leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Philosophy with minor concentration in English.
• Installation: Lectorate, 4 Nov 1996, Rome, Italy. The Ministry of Lectorate
was considered a minor order before the Second Vatican Council. Today, it is the
first of the two ministries required to be received and excercised by any
candidate aspiring to the higher orders of Diaconate and Presbyterate. The
ceremony of installation was presided by the Most Reverend Luigi Maria Villa in
the Church of Sant'Antonio Zaccaria, Rome, Italy.
• Installation: Acolytate, 4 Nov 1997, Rome, Italy. The Ministry of Lectorate
was considered a minor order before the Second Vatican Council. Today, it is the
second of the two ministries required to be received and excercised by any
candidate aspiring to the higher orders of Diaconate and Presbyterate. The
ceremony of installation was presided by the Most Reverend Luigi Maria Villa in
the Church of San Carlo ai Catinari, Rome, Italy.
• Graduation: Sacred Theology, 11 Jun 1998, Rome, Italy. Fr. Cesar graduated
with a degree in Sacred Theology from the Universitas Pontifica Urbaniana in
Rome, Italy. The Urbanian University, as it is commonly called, is run by the
Congragation for the Evangelization of Peoples and is subject to the direct
authority of the Roman Pontiff.
• Graduation: TOEFL, Jun 2001, Hales Corners, Wisconsin, USA.
• Graduation: Divinity, 2 May 2003, Emmitsburg, Maryland, USA. Mount Saint
Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD is the United States' second oldest seminary.
It was founded by a French emigré priest, Fr. DuBois of the Sulpician Order, who
later on became the second bishop of New York. Inside the seminary campus is the
United States' oldest replica of the Grotto of Lourdes.
• Ordination: Diaconate, 9 Nov 2002, Emmitsburg, Maryland, USA. His Excellency,
the Most Reverend Thomas George Doran, Bishop of Rockford, presided at the
Ordination Rites in Joseph Church in Emmitsburg, MD during the cool morning of
November 9, 2002 in the presence of seminary students and guest coming from the
Atlantic coast.
• Graduation: Hispanic Ministry & Language Study, Apr 2003, MACC, San Antonio,
Texas, USA. With the growing hispanic population in Northern Illinois, and the
lack of Hispanic priests serving in this area, Church authorities decided that
Fr. Cesar should also minister to the Hispanics, in addition to his ministry
with the Filipino-Americans and his regular parish duties. The Mexican American
Cultural Center, located in San Antonio, Texas, provided him an opportunity to
better serve the Hispanic people by making him understand their culture,
tradition and faith expression.
• Ordination: Presbyterate, 17 May 2003, Rockford, Illinois, USA.
